Our Terms & Conditions of Trade -
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accepting the Quote supplied by Consolidated Solutions Direct - also known as "CSD".
By accepting, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions as laid out in this Document, (a deposit of any value is also known as a acceptance of a go-ahead to proceed of work requested).
General -
All communications regarding a Quote must be documented in writing. Where a verbal agreement has been made in person or over the phone, it must be confirmed in writing within 24 hours, unless a deposit to retain and hold has been given.
Quotes -
Quotes are valid for 30 days from date of issue. Any Quote accepted outside this time may need alterations to account for current market rate of materials, and any potential changes in site conditions, also taking in considerations, inflation, travel to collect, shipping by other providers, stock shortages, back-oreders etc that may attract additional charges.
While all care is taken to ensure accuracy of pricing, there may be unforeseen or unexpected conditions or occurrences which alter the scope of works, and consequently the pricing. Any changes to a scope will require a revised Quote and may alter the job delivery date, as per the Changes to Scope section.
Quotes for jobs which consist of more than 3 separate items constitute ‘Project Pricing’. Project Pricing is generated to save you money by combining multiple elements to save on onsite labour costs. Selection of individual items or subsets of items taken from Project Pricing may require a new Quote in order to account for the entire labour time onsite.
Repair, maintenance and handyman jobs have a minimum call-out fee as we are a business and not a side hobby etc and we do like everyone have running cost from our central warehouse that holds stock as well as vehicles and insurances etc; any material costs required for the job are in addition to this. This fee generally includes the first hour of labour unless we waive it as FREE or have a current offer or deal going for that time, with subsequent hours of labour charged out at the current hourly rate. Any do-and-charge jobs which fall below an hour of labour will be billed at the minimum call-out unless a pre-existing arrangement or agreement otherwise exists in writing.
Payment Terms -
Payment terms for individual Clients who do not represent any group, party, organisation or company required by law to have an ABN:a: A deposit of 50% must be paid upon acceptance of any Quotation over $1000. No works will be scheduled or booked until this deposit has been received, unless agreed to in writing.b: The balance must be paid 7 days from completion of works, unless agreed to in writing.
Payment terms for any Client required by law to have an ABN, including sole traders, organisations, companies, or individuals representing such a party:a: A deposit of 50% must be paid upon acceptance of any Quotation over $2000 inc. GST. No works will be scheduled or booked until this deposit has been received, unless agreed to in writing.b: The balance must be paid 14 days from completion of works, unless agreed to in writing.
Debt Collection -
If reasonable attempts to contact you regarding an outstanding invoice fail, we may refer the matter to a debt collection agency or lawyer. Any fees accumulated in the recovery of this debt and may include ongoing interest fees will be payable by the debtor direct.
Changes to Scope -
Unforeseen circumstances or site conditions may alter the nature of works being carried out under an accepted Quotation. This constitutes a change to the Scope of Works, and will require a new Quote to be supplied to you and approved before works can continue any further.Where there is a change to the Scope of Works, a new timeframe may need to be negotiated. If the existing deadline is non-negotiable, you will need to flag this when the new Quote is supplied so that we discuss options and work towards a couple of solutions.
Warranty -
Works carried out under the Quote are warranted for a period of 1 year. Within the warranty period CSD will repair, at no charge, any works that prove defective due to workmanship or materials supplied by CSD under normal use (if material / parts etc supplied by you then we only provide warranty for our labour component workmanship excluding whats been provided to us), subject to proper maintenance can also potentialy impact the total or part of the works claimed.
If investigation indicates that damage is the result of improper use, someone unknown has worked on the claim and not letting us know, building movement or structural faults, or any other issue not caused by faulty workmanship or materials, repair costs will be incurred at the current going rate. *** Please note - A common question regarding pricing from anyone including other areas of trades, hourly rate vs per job / flat fee on whats required. Hourly rate usually has either a callout, minimum time block onsite then charged at either increments (time billed) per half hour or one hour blocks at a time, as a brief short explanation plus materials / parts. As for a per job task or flat fee on service will be an estimated time block issued plus materials / parts. And just an FYI we don't bill IF WE STOP for a short lunch / coffee. Yes, we also need to survive but don't see a need to time bill for this essential service for our well being. Please understand when you feel the need to price shop and keep on pushing for an even better deal that any prices offered generally does not mean its all a markup, no not at all (just to mention only the first basic five listed reasons many dont think about) as its also factoring consumables and sundries, wear and tear on tools and equipment, some cases travel and maintenance wear and tear on trucks, utes or trailers, insurance and public liability, warranty on labour. Thank you so much for understanding that in the current economic climate the massive shortages of skilled trades, general living inflation at the highest peak etc etc. Now we all have a clearer understanding how we ALL get impacted to survive and be around running a business with sustainability, and for us blessed since 2004 and still going, as for others may close down 3 years later or change names every 5 years and with others you may not even be lucky enough to get a chance to claim on a warranty as they may not exist anymore. So in saying this its not compulsory to choose us, but whoever you do choose please choose wisely and be kind to each other.
